CSN condemns murders of members
of the Community of Peace of
San Jose de Apartado
by the FARC

The Colombia Support Network, located in Madison, Wisconsin, condemns and repudiates the brutal murder of Luis Fernando Espinosa, Fernando Aguirre and Ramiro Correa, members of the Community of Peace(Comunidad de Paz) of San Jose de Apartado, committed by the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia ) guerrillas on October 6.

The Colombia Support Network publicly declares its total support for the Community of Peace of San Jose de Apartado and announces that it has created an international membership for this community. Now persons throught the world may become members and by so doing show their solidarity with this new form of ending the armed conflict which is destroying Colombia.

It is unacceptable that people that wish only peace be the victims of guerrilla violence. We reject and condemn the criminal acts of a guerrilla movement which murders civilian population.We urge that justice be done and that the criminals be punished.

Colombia Support Network sends its most heartfelt condolences to the relatives of the victims and to the Community of Peace of San Jose de Apartado. We express our wish to continue accompanying and supporting the Community of Peace.
