Planning a Delegation to Colombia

Colombia Support Network has planned a delegation to Colombia for the dates August 16-28, 2014. The delegation will begin with a visit to the Peace Community of San Jose de Apartado, from August 17-20. We will then go to Bogota for meetings with representatives of human rights and environmental organizations, labor leaders, Colombian government officials, and United States Embassy personnel. On August 24 some of the delegation participants will travel to Sibundoy in the Colombian province of Putumayo. There we will meet with representatives of the Kamentsa and Inga indigenous communities to observe and discuss threats to their communities presented by highway construction and multinational mining interests. Anyone interested in joining our delegation, please contact us at telephone (608) 257-8753 or by email at for further details.
