Caracol Radio had exclusive access to the locations of the 6,402 victims of the so-called “false positives”.
According to the prioritization by the Recognition of the Truth Branch of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, Case 03, which is formally titled “Killings illegitimately presented as kills in combat by agents of the government,” also known as “false positives”, these 6,402 cases are located in these places in this country:
Norte de Santander: 299

The JEP, in order to encompass with more detail the reports it has received, as well as testimony by members of the military, has divided this case into sub-cases in Antioquia, the Caribbean coast, Norte de Santander, Huila, Casanare, and Meta. The second phase will be focused on Arauca, Boyacá, Caquetá, Guainía, Guaviare, Sucre, and Putumayo.

All of this investigation is supported by 32 reports, and 313 testimonies by soldiers, 10 by generals, and approximately 20 colonels.
This list is vitally important, because it’s a piece of evidence that will aid the JEP in demonstrating that there are 6,402 victims of the so-called “false positives” in Colombia, and that the organizations and the reports, when cross-checked in this first phase, indicate the magnitude of this practice, and that the number of cases could actually be more than 10,000 victims.
